Identity Development and Web Design for a Historic Downtown Theater—Renovated to Bring a Community Together
Overview
From 1939 to 1979, the Palace Theater was the hub of the main street in downtown McComb, Mississippi. Like many downtowns throughout the US, downtown McComb stopped growing. The Palace closed, the building was donated, and it sat vacant for most of the four following decades. However, with a vision and a purpose, it has been newly renovated as a multi-purpose venue with a community at its core.
The Challenge
The Palace needed a look that represented its past, present, and future. The design should pay homage to its many years of establishment but with a modern twist. We were tasked with creating a logo (which, in turn, became signage), social icons, and a web design on the Squarespace platform, among other marketing assets.
The Results
The crowds keep coming! The Palace Theater has once again become a mainstay in the McComb, MS, community and is again a hub for live music, corporate events, and private parties. We are proud to be a part of its growth.
